The social transformation and reconstruction of the system of humanities knowledge on the examples of China and Russia

Abstract

At present, China is actively promoting the flourishing and the development of philosophy and social sciences, among which special attention is paid to the reconstruction of China's independent knowledge system. This article focuses on the relationship between social transformation and humanistic knowledge systems, pointing out that it is the state of constant tension and motivation generated by the social transformation that allows these systems to renew, improve, and mature. The social transformations in the two largest transition countries -China and Russia - were chosen as the representative examples.
