Research on the Role Played by Media Attention in the Relationship between Financialization and Research and Development Investment

Abstract

Research and development investment is crucial to the innovation and sustainable development of enterprises. Taking the data of A-share listed companies from 2012 to 2020 as samples, this paper finds that the impact of corporate financialization on research and development investment is influenced by the degree of media attention to enterprises. The conclusion of the study provides some enlightenment for the government and enterprises to promote research and development investment from the perspective of media governance.
