Identifying some Criteria for Assessing Changes in the Lifestyle of Workers in Industrial Parks Associated with the Context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution, in particular economic impact, competition for human resources, automation, and technology, have had a significant impact on the labor force of industrial park workers. Industrial parks are no longer the same in terms of size, development strategy, resources, and investment focus due to digital technologies. In order to provide arguments for the research process on the creation of new lifestyles to adapt to the fourth industrial revolution and for the policy-making process associated with the human resource development of industrial parks and localities, it is necessary to identify assessment criteria for changes in the lifestyle of industrial park workers in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This paper will identify criteria for particular categories, such as: shifts in production labor; shifts in political consciousness; shifts in social activities; shifts in family dynamics; and shifts in the spiritual lives of industrial park workers. After outlining the structure for the criteria, the paper will discuss some contemporary concerns about how workers' lifestyles are changing in Vietnam's industrial parks in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution's current significant influence.
