The results of bench and operational tests of three modern engine oils at long-term run in the KAMAZ family engines were analysed. Scientific novelty and results. The article presents the justification of usage of blow-by, which characterizes the rate of wear of the main friction surfaces inside the cylinder-piston and valve train group of parts, as an objective indicator of the engine technical condition.Practical significance. Abstract

Introduction (problem statement and relevance).
