Amicus curiae brief for the Polish Constitutional Court by Prof. Eugene Kontorovich on the Istanbul Convention

Abstract

The Istanbul Convention imposes a variety of obligations that could be constitutionally problematic for many democratic countries. Understanding the Polish Constitutional Court is currently considering the legality of the Convention, I have undertaken a detailed analysis of the provisions that might be most problematic.
