The water quality data collected includes data on salinity, oxygen, temperature, and pH of the water. The data was then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that based on the results of water quality analysis such as salinity, oxygen, temperature, and pH, the water is still in accordance with the growth and life needs of vaname shrimp, with salinity values in the salinity range of 15.83–33 ppt and dissolved oxygen of 3.02–4.67 ppm, temperature of 28.92–29.38oC and a water pH in the range of 6.0–6.73. Abstract

The research aims to determine the possibility of developing vaname shrimp cultivation in Mandalle District, Pangkep Regency, based on an analysis of water quality aspects, which consists of physical and chemical aspects. The method used is a survey method by selecting five research locations that may have prospects for the development of vanamei shrimp cultivation.
