Abstract
Flameless atomic absorption spectrophotometry has been used to measure concentrations of mercury in Holothuria forskali and the sea-urchins Sphaerochinus granularis and Paracentrotus lividus in relation to depths of collection, size and the degree of pollution. The results show that the highest levels occur near the city of Marseilles.
