Abstract

The article presents the data on the expression level of the pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-1 (IL-1) in piglets 3-5 days of age diseased with colibacteriosis, against the background of the use of the species-specific drug Prostimul, containing recombinant type 1 cytokine, vitamins A, E and C, in comparison with antibacterial drug Quinocol Plus. The analysis of the obtained data has shown that the drug Prostimul suppresses the expression of IL-1β by 70 times, and Quinocol Plus – by 6.5 times. This fact indicates the prospect of using the drug to reduce the development of an inflammatory reaction in case of colibacteriosis in newborn piglets. When analyzing hematological blood indicators, a decrease in the number of stab neutrophils was revealed against the background of the use of Prostimul and Quinocol Plus. The analysis of leukocyte indices of blood intoxication has indicated that against the background of the use of the drug Prostimul this indicator decreases by 4.9 times, and Quinocol Plus – by 5.6 times, respectively.
