Recently, during photoidentification (photo-ID) surveys conducted between 2022 and 2023, atypically pigmented bottlenose dolphin ( Tursiops truncatus ) individuals with white patches on their dorsal fins and bodies were spotted in Turkish territorial waters near Zonguldak Province.
