Abstract

Background : Regular eye care is important nursing intervention for effective clinical management of critically ill patients. Eye care can prevent dryness, damage to the eye, complications and infection. This study aims to: Evaluate clinical Outcomes of Implementing Evidence Based Eye Care Intervention for Mechanically Ventilated Patients. Design : Design of quasi-experimental research. This research was conducted in the Intensive Care Units of Assiut University Hospital. Subjects : This study included sixty recently admitted adult mechanically ventilated patients. Purposive sampling was taken in accordance with the inclusion criteria. Three tools were used to collect study data .
