Historical and bibliographic review of literature on the integration of the peoples of the North-Eastern Caucasus into the Russian Empire: on the issue of the current state

Abstract

The article attempts to comprehend the scientific research of the modern period related to the process of integration and incorporation of the North-Eastern Caucasus into the Russian Empire. The authors differentiate research in accordance with the direction of the work. The main questions that are reflected in modern scientific literature on this topic are revealed.
