Self-disclosure in the coexperiencing psychotherapy

Abstract

The article deals with the phenomenon of self-disclosure of a counseling psychologist to a client in the process of psychological counseling. The results of an expert interview with experienced counseling psychologists practicing the “coexperiencing psychotherapy” approach are presented, which reveal that among representatives of the approach mentioned there are different views on the place of self-disclosure in the coexperiencing psychotherapy, however, the phenomenon is somehow present in the work of coexperiencing psychologists and affects relationships within the consultation.
