TRANSCRIBATHON ZAGREB 2022 – EXPERIENCES AND RESULTS

Abstract

Transcribathon Zagreb 2022 was held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb from November 7-11, 2022. It was organized as a part of the Enrich Europeana + project. During that period a certain number of students worked on a few selected archival fonds and collections. Their task was transcribing the uploaded documents on Europeana and the Transcribathon platform. The event had a competitive tone because the best students in three categories received awards. The Archives organized a conference “Cultural Heritage and AI” on the first two days of the Transcribathon Zagreb event. This paper will focus on preparations for the Transcribathon Zagreb 2022 event and the results. It will also have a part in which we will explain the idea for the conference, who and why the lecturers were, and its overall outcome.
