The design of this research is quantitative observational research with a cross sectional approach. Population in this study are 105 employees at the Technical Implementation Unit of the Herbal Materia Medica Laboratory. Sample in this study are 101 respondents taken using purposive random sampling technique. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis via partial (t) test. The research results show that leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance in the Technical Implementation Unit of the Herbal Materia Medica Laboratory. Work engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance in the Technical Implementation Unit of the Herbal Materia Medica Laboratory.
