The relevance of the use of thermal insulation coatings is shown – energy saving, heat and noise protection, fire resistance. Advantages of thermal insulation coatings over existing materials are considered. The developed compositions of two environmentally friendly coatings based on organic-mineral compounds are given. The article describes methods of foam stabilization to extend the service life of thermal insulation coatings. The foam stabilization mechanism is based on sol-gel processes when using SiO2 sol and hydration processes when using cement. Foams obtained by those mechanisms are proposed to be called hardening building foams. Abstract
