Abstract

The number of children born in Malaysia with autism has increased in recent years. According to a 2015 National Health survey interview, 1 in 45 children have shown autistic symptoms. Various therapy approaches have been used to improve the self-development of autistic children. However, most of the methods applied less emphasized religious and spiritual development. This article presents the need to include religious elements in therapy process, as well as the usability of Dhikr Psychotherapy Model in the development of Muslim children with autism. This article collected its data using the literature study method and expert questionnaires using the Fuzzy Delphi Method approach. The study found that the Dhikr Psychotherapy Model has a significant effect in helping the development of Muslim autistic children.
Dhikr
