Abstract The evolution of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) market, and LNG sale and purchase arrangements, can provide insights to how sale contracts required to underpin the development of regional hydrogen markets around the world may develop. This article explores how LNG markets have developed and considers the lessons which may be learned for project sponsors looking to develop the first wave of low-carbon hydrogen production projects.
