Deviation from the language norm as a pragmatic phenomenon

Abstract

A structurally incomplete utterance can be qualified as “non-utterance” (it doesn’t correspond to the system language norms). However, it is a communicatively relevant (or communicatively irrelevant) item of spoken language syntax with its own pragmatic purpose.
