Abstract
Recent advances in optical storage technology, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional, suggest that optical memories can be used for applications requiring massive archiving volumes. In order to use optical memories in such applications we need to interface them with electronic computers. Our paper discusses the aspects of this interface design.
