Roncalli - position dependent in-vehicle real time information for road users - an overview

Abstract

This paper describes the outcomes of the projects Roncalli and Roncall 12, two ITS projects that deal with road safety information for the driver and the trading of traffic data in general at a market place. A client-server architecture for delivering road safety information directly to the driver and the resulting services is described. Furthermore, the design of a market place for traffic data is outlined.
