Abstract

Antennas, when used in devices having non-planar surface, essentially require a distinctive design approach from the rest of the applications. In this paper, a planar self-complimentary circular disk Ultra Wideband (UWB) antenna is conformed into non-planar cylindrical structures of different radius of curvature so that it can used in devices consisting non-planar surface. The design procedure is derived from the basic circular disk antenna. From the simulations, characterizing parameters of antennas have been studied for different bent angles.
