Abstract

Outlaws and Outlaw Language in Criminal Records Using quotes from sources dated between 1775 and 1782, in my paper I discuss those issues that may be revealed about market thieves of the time and their language by archival documents consulted as “byproducts” while looking for glossaries of outlaw language from the 18th century.
