Abstract

In this paper, we have developed Vehicle Number Plate Recognition (VNPR) system, where can be installed in the tollgate and high security surveillance area. The main aim of this work is implemented as an autonomous system to control the process of payment fee and parking allocation in tollgates and shopping mall. The novelty of this work is the neural network based genetic algorithm derived to detect and recognize the vehicle number plate details as an digital image. Identifying the vehicle through the recognition of its VNPR using low level digital image processing algorithms and neural network algorithms.
