Abstract

Reverse osmosis (RO) process has become the most effective solution among the other brackish water desalination processes. In this study, model of RO system was developed in Matlab/Simulink to analyse changing of operating parameters with variation of feed water quality(salinity) and temperature, then to evaluate energy consumed by this process. To validate this model, two approaches are used: the first is experimental, which consists of checking with the operating parameters of the brackish water demineralization station (MAROC CENTRAL) located near the town of TADLA city in MOROCCO, the second one, the model is compared with the results obtained by other research.
