Abstract

This study explores the Personal Values on Kahle’s List of Values and Job Performance. It generally aimed to determine the ranking of the personal values on self-fulfillment, being well-respected, sense of accomplishment and sense of belongingness, and the level of job performance of the employees in both task and contextual. A descriptive research design was employed through the use of a researcher-made questionnaire which was administered to the 61 permanent LGU employees of Claveria, Misamis Oriental who had been in the Local Government service for 3 years up to the retirement age of 65 who were selected through purposive sampling. The study found out that the value of sense of accomplishment was not valuable among the employees and there were few areas on task and contextual performance that need improvement. Age, position, and religion had significant impact on the the Personal values of the employees as education to the job performance. The result of this study will be a great help to guide the administration of the Local Government of Claveria to find strategies that will integrate to the working environment of the employees the value of sense of accomplishment as well as to craft policies to attain exemplary job performance. Keywords: Personal values, job performance, task performance, contextual performance
Misamis Oriental Claveria LGU
