Responsible management of a sustainable supply chain:: transition to a low-carbon Supply Chain

Abstract

The majority of CO2 emissions are often produced outside the scope of companies, at various points in the Supply Chain and in the context of the use and disposal of products. To contribute, in a responsible and sustainable manner, to the transition to a low-carbon SC, companies must therefore act by putting in place climate protection strategies aimed at the reduction and mitigation of Greenhouse Gases (GHGs), within companies. This objective constitutes a focal point for developing a low-carbon Logistics Chain. The main reason for this green transition resided in the composition of very broad value chains with regard to the perimeters and dimensions: of collaboration and relationship with partners.
