Leveraging Industrial Communication in Technical Training Systems

Abstract

Industrial communication networks provide a more complex and complete solution than legacy digital and analog i/o implementations. Successfully planning, designing, and implementing requires people with practical experience in this area, as well as a good theoretical understanding of automation. The article proposes a small-scale assembly line for industrial communications training. It combines the advantages of several industrial communication protocols in order to allow the trainee to acquire practical skills in the related domain.
