Programa de parentalidade: Da evidência científica para a implementação em escala

Abstract

Strengthening positive parenting through parenting programs has been an effective strategy for preventing violence against children. The ACT Raising Safe Kids Program is an evidence-based program of the American Psychological Association that has been validated for Brazil. This article is an essay with the objective of presenting a synthesis of the scientific evidence on the effects of the ACT Program in the prevention of violence against children in Brazilian and international samples. Additionally, a model for implementing the ACT Program on a large scale with sustainability in the public system is presented. In the ACT program trajectory of research in Brazil, there was an advance in scientific evidence level and a recent effort to implement the ACT program linked to public policies.
