Abstract

In this paper, we evaluate the bit error rate (BER) performances of digital communication systems that employ complex spreading modulation schemes in Rayleigh fading for various jamming scenarios. The jamming signals are barrage noise, pulsed noise, and tone jamming. Specifically, we consider quadrature phase-shift keying (QPSK) and 64-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (64QAM). For these modulations, we derive the BER performances for various diversity combinations of transmit and receive antennas. In particular, we emphasize the multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) configurations.
