Abstract

In this contribution, a transition-antenna is introduced, which enables the symmetric radiation of dielectric waveguides in the mmWave range. Design considerations as well as the split-block manufacturing technique that utilizes 3D printing and a two step metalization process are presented. Finally, simulation and measurement results, which reveal the component’s performance, are discussed in detail.
