Abstract
This paper describes a simulation and an example of remote control of the process of melting ice with reactive currents on overhead power lines without disconnecting consumers from the network, as well as without adding duplicate or bypass wires and complicating the power line. Modeling of the method clearly shows the possibility of increasing the current to the current of melting ice on this section of the circuit. The device consists of a remotemounted choke and capacitor, which are activated by remotely controlled thyristors.
