Toward Standardization of Performance Characteristics for Spectral Imagers: How to Specify a Hyperspectral Camera?

Abstract

The customary way in which spectral imagers are specified does not give a proper account of important performance characteristics. Suggestions are given for an improved set of performance characteristics, particularly with respect to noise and coregistration.
