Abstract
Single carrier communication (SCC) uses equalizer to minimize signal distortion. Design complexity increases with data rate in SCC. Multi-carrier based wireless communication reduces channel fading by sub-dividing the channel into a number of equal narrow bands, in which inter symbol interference (ISI) and inter carrier interference (ICI) effects cause bit error. Recently, a mechanism has been proposed to mitigate these interferences by cyclically shuffling the sub-carrier frequency and using CI (Carrier Interferometry) code to each sub-carrier. We attempt here to compute the cross-correlation between the sub-carriers to observe the proper orthogonality conditions. We also compute the cross-correlation between the present and previously transmitted symbols to find the orthogonality condition effect. Finally, the authors compute the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the frequency-shuffled CI/OFDM modulation system to observe its effectiveness for safety of the signal processing devices in the receiver.
