Abstract

A new three-phase AC-DC converter with transformer isolation is proposed in this paper. The new converter is cheaper than previously proposed converters of the same type as it requires fewer passive and active components. Other features of the proposed converter include fewer conduction losses and less ripple current. In the paper, the operation of the proposed converter is explained and its features are reviewed. Results that confirm the feasibility of the converter are presented at the end of the paper.
