Enhancing Innovation with social recommendations

Abstract

Based on previous experiences in the field of Innovation Forums conducted by IBM, we develop our own system, InnoJam, within the frame of the Laboranova integrated project. These systems aim at fostering innovation in rather big groups of participants, in the case of IBM, several tens of thousands. Our approach works upon the idea of augmenting social capacities, key factors to give more value for organizations and participants in these kind of forums. It implements them by means of visualization elements and social recommendations, with producing a boost in participation always in mind.
