Abstract

A new 3D technique for the human spontaneous intracerebral brain hemorrhage (ICH) region segmentation and quantification is presented in this paper. The ICH primary region segmentation algorithm uses the K-means histogram-based clustering algorithm. The ICH edema region segmentation algorithm employs an iterative morphological processing of the ICH brain data.
