A polyimide substrate with a thickness of only 0.0762 mm is used. A reduced ground plane is preferred to achieve higher efficiency and omnidirectional radiation pattern. The −10dB bandwidth of the proposed antenna covers complete ISM band of 2.4–2.5 GHz. The designed antenna has a return loss of −50dB, an efficiency of 98.5% and a gain of 1.95 dBi at the center frequency.
