The basic principles and steps of cloud gravity center and comprehensive cloud evaluation approaches were summarized. According to the measurement requirements of navy vessel's development alternatives' quality, the evaluation index system was established. The differences and shortcomings of the two evaluation approaches in the data using and difficult degree of operation were compared in detail by case analysis, and the definite conclusion was given on the scope of application and the possible improvement direction. Abstract

In the view of the shortcomings of the cloud gravity center and comprehensive cloud evaluation approaches based on cloud theory, the study was carried out combined with the quality evaluation of navy vessel's development alternatives. The basic principles and steps of cloud gravity center and comprehensive cloud evaluation approaches were summarized. According to the measurement requirements of navy vessel's development alternatives' quality, the evaluation index system was established.
