Abstract

The floating offshore wind turbine (FOWT) is the most important generation source of deep-sea wind power. With the increasing integration of wind generation into the grid, the reliability model of the FOWT is increasingly valued. The objective of this paper is to propose a reliability model of FOWT considering the effect of environmental conditions on structure reliability and output characteristics which are the most important impact factors for the reliability of the FOWT. Case studies use the OC4-DeepCwind semisubmersible wind turbine to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model at two different sites.
