Exploration Study on the Effects of Health Education and Public Awareness of COVID-19 Prevention- A case study to a Church-Affiliated Primary School in the Kampala, Uganda

Abstract

This study focused on the two health education effects of frequent handwashing with soap and wearing masks that can be maintained by individuals. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), as of March 13, 2022, the number of confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia has exceeded 452 million, and the number of deaths due to the infection has exceeded 6 million. In addition to vaccine administration and new drug research and development, the implementation of health education is a comprehensive and important epidemic prevention policy. As the Covid-19 virus continues to mutate, the world is still under the threaten of the epidemic. This study takes Kampala, the capital of Uganda, Africa as the research object, to explore the effectiveness of the Ugandan government's health education on preventing the spread of COVID-19 in primary schools.
