Abstract

A photovoltaic power system will be installed at a remote location in Indonesia to provide power for a satellite earth station and a classroom for video and audio teleconferences. The earth station may also provide telephone service to a nearby village. This activity is being implemented in support of the Agency for International Development's Rural Satellite Program. The purpose of this program is to demonstrate the use of satellite commnunications for development assistance applications.
