Abstract

With a focus on productive flexibility and lean company model, the toyotista production regime has decisively impacted the world of work, bringing about profound transformations in its interior, providing an intense debate on the part of those who try to explain the nature and social implications of these transformations. The present work promotes a reflection on the binomial of work / qualification in the light of the concept of employability, placing it in the range of the set of transformations resulting from the restructuring of capital in the network society that instituted the need for a new professional profile: the informational worker.
