The Analysis of the network of technical inspection stations for road vehicles and traffic accidents in Slovakia

Abstract

The paper analyses the development of the number of test lines at technical inspection stations in the period 2006 - 2019, as well as the development of the number of registered vehicles subjected to technical inspection. There are described legislative conditions and division of technical inspections station in the Slovak Republic. Another part of the paper analyses the regional distribution of technical inspection stations in the Slovak Republic. The paper is processed on the basis of long-term data analysis. Important part of this paper is also the analysis of traffic accidents caused by technical failure of a vehicle in the Slovak Republic. In the ned paper is evaluated the development of the number of test lines at technical inspection stations for individual years during the reported period in correlation with the number of registered vehicles subjected to technical inspection.
