The Possibility of Post-industrial Landscapes Reclamation Based on the Study of Soil Quality Indicators and Variance Analysis

Abstract

Elucidation of the ecological situation in the territories affected by mining and chemical works is a primary task for the formation of a strategy for the restoration of the natural environment. Total organic carbon is one of the most important components of soils. It is evaluated the level of total organic carbon in the soils of post-industrial landscapes. A software tool was created that examines the influence of factors on measurement results on the basis of laboratory studies. As a result of one-factor and two-factor analysis of variance, it was established that depth and distance do not affect the results of measurements, and the presence of systematic errors in the results of measurements is insignificant.
