Application of temporal difference learning method to computer gaming

Abstract

Applies the temporal difference learning method and a neural network to the computer simulation game which deals with old Chinese history. Several computer simulation results show that the temporal difference learning method and neural network have been quite effective in order to let a player on the computer side have enough intelligence to cope with a strong human player.
