Abstract

One of the major challenges faced by the power sector of a developing country like India is the frequent power outages. Consumers are forced to spend money on back-up systems such as Diesel Generators. The depletion of fossil fuel necessitates the use of renewable energy sources such as solar energy. This paper presents strategies to reduce diesel power consumption which is twice as costly as grid power.
