Abstract
A finite element-perfectly matched layer method (FEM-PML) is presented to analyze the electromagnetic wave propagation into reinforced concrete wall. Floquet's theorem is used to reduce the calculation of reinforce concrete wall. The parameters influence the propagation through reinforced concrete wall, such as the steel diameter, the length of meshes and the thickness are studied. The electric field values in the propagation direction into the reinforced concrete wall are given out. The results are useful for the study of indoor wireless communication and the electromagnetic shielding effect of concrete architectures.
