Abstract

The selection of beginner footballers into playing positions begins at the age of 12-13, when each athlete is assigned certain playing functions. As a rule, in such cases, the coaches select their footballers according to certain criteria, often these are the physical development of the athletes, the level of their motor training, etc. It is clear that each game position has a certain content and a certain motor structure, given that each has certain tasks to perform during the game. These things dictate the need to implement the differentiated selection of junior footballers according to the level of development of their coordination capabilities. In order to do this, it is necessary to assess the level of development of the coordinative capacities of 12-13-year-old junior footballers, in order to be able to intervene with different specific means in order to optimize their level of development for each individual playing position.
