Caracterização das Pesquisas de Teses em Administração com Abordagem Qualitativa

Abstract

The qualitative approach to scientific research has the purpose of letting the world visible to the observer through a set of interpretative techniques. The use of qualitative research in the field of Administration is built within historical, social and human contexts, placing the subject in context. The objective of this research was to characterize the Administration Theses on a qualitative approach Theses Database Capes, identifying and analyzing the choices and research purposes. To achieve this purpose it developed an exploratory study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, through documentary research strategy. Were found and analyzed 26 theses, using as search strategy Area of Knowledge and Research Area "Management" and Level "Doctor", 2010 until July 2, 2015. It was concluded that, in the studied qualitative research, the theses showed the interest of the authors in confronting information of qualitative research with numerical information, establishing triangulation data (mixed data). It was also perceived that there was no trend toward employability of approaches, varying according to the study objectives and work. There was finally the case study was the most used technical procedure of the surveyed theses, assuming that the search contemplated portray depth the behavior or phenomenon it is designed the study. The use of interviews was also widely used by the authors, giving freedom to the interviewee to put his point of view on the study context, with the interviewer, indirect control over the data collection process.
