Abstract
A method for evaluation of reflection and attenuation coefficients in homogeneous materials with plane boundaries is suggested in this paper. This method is based on power measurements of signals reflected from front and rear boundary of sample under test. The appropriate theoretical model is elaborated. Some laboratory tests of the method are shown. The method is adapted for diagnostics of ionospheric disturbances from spacecraft
